This installation consists of a seven-foot high rectangular white column positioned thirty inches from a white wall where there is an eight-inch square of painted white plywood affixed five and one half feet off the ground. Projected upon the plywood square is a single channel video loop (6:40) of a naive puppet performing a prerecorded game of Simon says. The puppet's motions, the child's game and the overlap of a real environment with a projected one plays with tensions between empathy, control, reality and illusion.
