In the small hallway that leads to the kitchen in The Pelham Arts Center, there is an unusual modification to the floor and a number of tiles are missing from the drop-ceiling grid above. As you walk back to investigate (or just to go to the bathroom) your footsteps on the false floor trigger an audio response that spills from the space above you. Looking up into the void of the missing ceiling tiles you see a monitor hanging directly overhead, and a cavernous space beyond, which is bathed in red. On the two monitors different traveling lines of color and motion play, confusing interaction and of the sounds with your footsteps and the autonomous nature of the video. As you investigate the nature of the relationship your activities draw others.
