This installation includes a single channel video loop (4:30), a brown couch, and a late 70's television. The artist has removed all the pauses from a 1946 Encyclopedia Britannica film about the symptoms of despotism, increasing the incoming information to a nearly incomprehensible staccato rate. The comfortable couch invites the viewer to sit and absorb the doctored video, sliding between comprehension and incomprehension, and questioning the speed at which today's media conveys information.
